When to call the doctor?


Call the doctor if you have any of the following symptoms:

 

  • Long-lasting sore throat
  • White or yellow spots on your tonsils or throat
  • Thick yellow-green or grey phlegm coughed up
  • A cough that lasts more than 7 days
  • Long coughing spells followed by difficult breathing
  • Temperature of 38 degrees celsius, or higher
  • Shaking chills
  • Chest pain
  • Headache that lasts several days
  • Earache
  • Skin rash
  • Pain in your teeth or sinuses
  • Unusual tiredness
  • Mental confusion
  • Swollen, tender glands in the neck
  • Blue or grey lips, skin or nails
  •
