When to call the doctor?

Call the doctor if you have any of the following symptoms:

 

Long-lasting sore throat

White or yellow spots on your tonsils or throat

Thick yellow-green or grey phlegm coughed up

A cough that lasts more than 7 days

Long coughing spells followed by difficult breathing

Temperature of 38 degrees celsius, or higher

Shaking chills

Chest pain

Headache that lasts several days

Earache

Skin rash

Pain in your teeth or sinuses

Unusual tiredness

Mental confusion

Swollen, tender glands in the neck

Blue or grey lips, skin or nails
