Chesty, productive coughs

Chesty, mucus, or productive coughs could be relieved with the help
of an expectorant or a combination of an expectorant and a mucolytic.
Expectorants (such as Guaiphenesin) work by increasing the water content of mucus
to thin it out and promote coughing.

Mucolytics (such as Bromhexine) breaks down the mucus fibres,
making it thinner and easier to cough up. The combination of the two ingredients,
such as that of Benadryl Chesty Forte,
has a double action formula that relieves heavy chesty coughs, breaking down mucus and
helping to clear chest congestion. It is sugar, alcohol and colour free,
is non-drowsy and available in a pleasant berry flavour.
