Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies recognises the importance of families and the incredible support provided and often sacrifice made, by families of athletes. Johnson & Johnson Pacific Pty Ltd is donating $200,000 in affiliation with the products shown above, to assist families and key support crew of Australian athletes get to the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.

Athletes will be asked to complete an application, detailing whom they wish to nominate as their family/support member and why they would like them to go to Beijing.

A Program Application Panel has been established consisting of an Olympic representative, a Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies representative; and a representative from the media.

There are four Program Application Periods. Submissions will be reviewed by the Panel during these times:

Wave 1: 23rd November 2007 – 29th January 2008
Wave 2: 30th January 2008 - 16th April 2008
Wave 3: 17th April 2008 -20th June 2008
Wave 4: 21st June 2008 -15th July 2008

Grants will be awarded after each wave. There will be a total of 21 x $5000 and 6 x $10,000 grants awarded to successful athletes between January and July 2008.

An additional $35,000 pool of funds will be established, from which grants will be awarded to successful athletes in amounts to be decided by the Program Application Panel after the conclusion of each wave between January and July 2008.
