Desitin

Desitin® Ointment treats and protects the skin, preventing nappy rash and other irritations.

Your Baby's Skin is Vulnerable
While skin is the first line of defense and protects everything it covers, there are certain conditions that can irritate your baby's skin, not matter how careful you are. Your baby's skin can be vulnerable to prickly heat, cradle cap, eczema and, of course, nappy rash.

Nappy Rash - a Common Baby Skin Problem
One of the most common, persistent problems your baby will face during their first 2 years of life is nappy rash. The most common causes of nappy rash include wetness, soiling and teething. It can be quite painful and irritating for your baby and if left untreated it can spread and cause their delicate skin to break.

Nappy Rash is Easy to Spot
You will know it first by its location. The area around the nappy and upper thighs will be slightly red and possibly warm. The skin may feel rough and hot. Other forms of nappy rash may show signs of blisters and pimples.

Relieve and Protect Your Baby's Skin with Desitin® ointment
Desitin® ointment is effective and fast. Its special formulation contains zinc oxide and cod liver oil (a natural source of vitamin A & D). Desitin creates a long lasting barrier that seals out wetness, safeguards unbroken skin and promotes the healing of broken skin.

Clinical studies* on babies have shown Desitin to be effective. Desitin Ointment will help protect your baby's delicate skin from the pain and irritation of nappy rash.

Available at your local pharmacy. Desitin Ointment comes in 50 gm and 100 gm packs.
