Bad breath or "malodour" can be caused by sulphur-producing bacteria that normally lives on the surface of the tongue and in the throat and mouth. It can be caused by a variety of conditions such as:
  • Poor oral hygiene
  • Dry mouth
  • Sinus infections
  • Some foods
  • Smoking

How LISTERINE® Can Help

  1. Brush twice a day with LISTERINE® Antibacterial Fluoride Toothpaste. This will help to reduce plaque, fight cavities, protect your gums, freshen your breath, and remove stains on your teeth.
  2. Floss to remove bacteria that cling to the sides and gaps between the teeth.
  3. Rinse with 20mL of LISTERINE® Mouthwash for 30 seconds, twice a day. This will help to kill the germs that cause bad breath, and leave your whole mouth feeling clean.
  4. Freshen-up your breath with POCKETPAKS®. Just pop one in your mouth for an instant mouth refresher when you're on the go.
  5. Visit your dentist regularly.
