Kids Symptoms

Sometimes kids can't tell us how they are feeling and often allergies are mistaken for 'recurring colds'. That's why it's important to be able to tell the difference - so you can give your kids the treatment that's best for them.

Watch for common allergy signs:

Allergy Symptom Signs To Watch For
Runny nose and sneezing Constant sniffling and searching for tissues. Rubbing the nose upward with the palm of the hand.
Itchy nose, eyes, or skin Watch for constant scratching and rubbing eyes, nose, or skin.
Watery eyes Teary eyes, even when your child is playing happily.
Allergy 'shiners' Dark circles under the eyes caused by tiny broken blood vessels, even when your child has had plenty of sleep.
Headaches, earaches, or   hearing problems Ear pulling or head squeezing are signs that something is bothering your child. Slow or non-responsive to voices or sounds.
Changes in behaviour Children may be irritable or overactive.

If you think your child has allergies, or if you're not sure, make an appointment to see the doctor.
Always read the label and use only as directed. If symptoms persist, please see your health care professional.
